Obituary of Silas Llewelyn 'Si' Penney

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in the arms of his loving family, Silas Llewelyn Penney 'Si' of Carbonear, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents: Samuel and Lucy Penney; sisters: May, Lillian, Joan, and one infant sister; brother: Wade and two infant brothers; brothers-in-law: Francis Stice and Adolph Gosse. Leaving to mourn with precious memories, loving wife of 55 years: Linda; son: Blain (Janine); daughter: Lisa (Ernie) Singleton; His pride and joy, grandchildren: Brandon (Laura) Clarke, Kaiden (Emily) Clarke, and Ava Penney; His precious great-grandchildren: Luke, Carter, Hadley, and Tanner Clarke; brothers; Calvin (Audrey) and Paul; sisters: Florence (Kevin) Janes, Frances (Robert) Pike, Goldie (Bruce) Baker, Lois (Eldred) Dean, and Judy (Denis) Mulloy; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Gillian Morrison and Dr. Julia Curtis for their constant care and compassion. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, October 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear. Interment in Coughlan United Church Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
