COLBOURNE, Sophie G. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, August 2, 2013, Sophie G. Colbourne of Carbonear, age 67 years. Predeceased by: parents: Albert and Winifred Sellars; sister: Evelyn Sampson. Leaving to mourn, husband: James; one daughter: Judy-Lynn (Dr. Shane) Roberts, Paradise; one son: Christopher (Cecilia), Airdrie, AB; three grandchildren: Megan, Matthew and Rebecca; two sisters: Albertha (Eric) Chubbs, Carbonear and Jessie (Frank) Parsons, Harbour Grace; brothers-in-law: Peter Sampson, Harbour Grace, George (Ruth) Colbourne, Eric (Glenda) Colbourne and Morley (Ann) Colbourne, all of Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Betty (Wayne) Butt, Claudine Colbourne and Marg Colbourne, all of Carbonear; lifelong friends: Mary Butt, Carbonear and Stella Crane, Bay Roberts; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, August 5 at 3:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear.
