PENNEY, William E.- Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Sunday, February 24, 2008, William E. Penney of Western Bay, age 90 years. Predeceased by wife: Pearl; son: Chesley; three brothers: Albert, Edward and Solomon; two sisters: Violet and Janie. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Violet (Wayne) Whalen, Western Bay; two sons: Claude (Janet), Western Bay and Aubrey (Edna), La Scie; nine grandchildren: Terry (Denise), David, Kelly, Bonita, Lisa (Dwayne), Todd, Terry (Kim), Kim (Frank) and Kathy (Jim); ten great-grandchildren: Miranda, Camellia, Terry, Erica, Tristen, Kevin, Christopher, Chelsea, Kendra and Brayden; two great-great-grandchildren: TJ and Antonio; special sister-in-law: Mildred Penney, Toronto, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay and from where the funeral will take place on Thursday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in McDowell United Cemetery, Western Bay North. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund.
