I can remember as a little girl getting of the school bus in front of my grandparents house each day,at one point in time they had hens and a big red rooster.Well this old rooster really had it out for me i could not even go in the garden and he would start chasing me. Well this day i got off the bus and decided i was going to go in to nan's but low and behold here was the rooster sittin on the fence post and as a child i never learned my lesson so i decided i would try to run past him thinking for some reason he would not catch me,well off i went keeping on eye on him all the way and just as i thought i had made it off he goes wings flappin and trying to get me so here was the rooster chasin me and Grandfather chasin the rooster right in through Nan's kitchen..I don't know what gave me the biggest fright the rooster or my Grandfather both running after me but when Grandfather finally got the rooster away i got a tongue banging of how i should not have tried to outrun the rooster. My Grandfather was not a man of many words but when he did have something to say you listened. Some things you just don't forget.
