BUTT, Sandy C. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, Sandy C. Butt, long-time fisherman of Carbonear, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Phoebe, brother: William H. (Nellie). Leaving to mourn wife: Edna M. of 62 years; one daughter: Sandra (Ron) Hobbs, Debden, SK; one son: Jackson (Debbie), Carbonear; two cherished grandchildren: Cheryl and Sarah; brother-in-law: Herbert Penney, Salmon Cove; sisters-in-law: Marjorie Penney, Salmon Cove, Lillian Penney, Toronto, ON and Florence Penney, Massachusetts, USA; cousins: Jean (Gordon) Wells, St. John's, Grace Huffman, Massachusetts, USA and Audrey Slade, Brampton, ON; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR with visitation hours by request of the family on Thursday, May 1 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday, May 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
