HORWOOD, Chesley F. - Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Senior Citizen's Home, Clarke's Beach on Friday, May 2, 2008, Chesley F. Horwood of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by wife: Marion; parents: Samuel and Mary; brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn six daughters: Mary (Ron) Fowler, Colorado, USA, Elaine (Vernon) Muise, Yarmouth, NS, Sylvia (Theo) Mitchelmore, Fort McMurray, AB, Mildred (Ron) Wilson, St. John's, Beverley Gaudet, Toronto, ON and Marilyn (Brian) Gibbons, St. Vincents; two sons: David (Margaret), Prince George, BC and Lloyd (Lee), Kamloops, BC; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Mildred Bennett, Dartmouth, NS and Jessie Horwood, Carbonear; loving caregiver: Hughena Rideout and special friend: Pastor George Rideout, both of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3. Funeral service to take place on Monday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Calvary Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. No flowers by request, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
