HISCOCK, Joshua - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 17, 2014, Joshua Hiscock of Victoria, age 87 years. Predeceased by parents: Edgar and Louise, sisters: Dorothy, Wilma, Annie, Joyce and Ella, son-in-law: Lloyd, grandchildren: Joel and Jonathan Evely and Jonathan Hiscock. Leaving to mourn, wife: Lydia; three daughters: Lavinia Evely, Victoria, Patricia 'Patsy' (Jeff) Simmons, Waterloo, ON and Joslyn Hiscock, Vancouver, BC; step-daughter: Rosalind (Jack) Clarke, Victoria; four sons: Dan (Dawn), St. John's, Jerry (Gloria) and Tony (Janice), both of Upper Island Cove and Todd (Alina), Okotoks, AB; seventeen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Leonard (Martha), Waterloo, ON and Ellis (Lenora), Kitchener, ON; one sister: Jean Dodge, Little Hearts Ease; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
