Theresa was a very kind and gentle soul. No matter where you would meet her she would stop and ask about family, friends and catch up on the latest goings on. During the Folly days Therese and Jean would visit the club and oftentimes come to the house to visit with mom. That seems so long ago now-they were always welcomed and the visits were wonderful. Theresa has gone way to early but at least now she has no more pain. Rest In Peace Theresa.

You were my cousin, my childhood friend and the kindest, most gentle person that I have ever known, You went through more and suffered more than any one person should have too in several lifetimes, but you suffered in silence and you actually worried more about the health of all those you loved more than you worried about yourself. I have been working in Alberta since 2008 and during my ever visit home we would visit and talk and have a laugh and reminisce about our childhoods and of course our parents. At the end of my last visit to you every year we would kiss and hug and you would always say "See you next year", and upon leaving I would always say "Please God, let there be another year for her and for us. Last year when we said goodbye I said the same prayer but I admitted to myself for the first time that this would maybe our last hug and it was. I enjoyed our talks this past year and I hoped against hope that there would be one more hug for us. We almost made it for my visit to Newfoundland would be in May this year. Even though I wish for that one last hug I would not wish you back to suffer anymore. I'm sending my hug to heaven this year and I will for every year that I am living, I know you are sleeping with the angels and looking down on all of those you have left behind and wrapping your goodness, your kindness and your warmth all around us. I will miss you but I will never forget you and I will love you with all of my heart. RIP my cousin and my childhood friend.

I was quite saddened to learn of Theresa's (Aunt T's) passing. While time and distance separated us these last number of years, I will never forget the impact she had on my life both as a teenager and as a young woman. She was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Rest assured that you all will remain in my thoughts and prayers - now and in the difficult days ahead. When I do the 2014 Relay for Life here in Labrador City, I will walk in her honour.<3 Much love and hugs to you all. xoxo
