Obituary of Olive Mae Moores

Moores - Olive Mae (nee Grandy) Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital April 21, 2014 age 86 years. Predeceased by her parents Edward Grandy and wife Adelaide (Inkpen), her husband Charles V. Moores, son Charles Jr. and infant son Willis, sister Jessie and husband Fred Fox, brother Owen and wife Kizzie, brother Cecil and wife Gertrude, and special brother-in-law Calvin Pynn Sr. Left to mourn are her sister Ella Pynn, Collingwood, Ont., her daughters Wilma Davis (Leonard), Ottawa, Ont., Carol, St. Albert, AB. son Owen (Carol) with whom she resided in Carbonear, grandchildren Andrew Moores (Denae), Manotick, Ont., Heather Moores (Philippe Gobeil), St. Marie-de-Beauce, Que., Erica Moores (fiancée Brandon McParlan), Kanata, Ont. , Dr. Karelyn Jeffery (Shawn) Ottawa, Ont. and Mark Davis, Orleans Ont., brother-in-law James Best, St. John's, NL,. and great grandchildren Madeleine and Charlotte Gobeil as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends who found delight in her intelligent conversation and her sense of humor. We would like to say thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Carbonear General Hospital for their professionalism, kindness and support with a special thank you to Dr. Dawn Howse and the nurses and staff of the sixth floor. Their thoughtfulness and compassion will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place, no visitation, both by request. A memorial service will follow at a date to be announced. In her memory, donations can be made to the Bethel United Church, P.O. Box 66 Hearts Delight-Islington, NL, A0B 2A0.
