REID, Elliott - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Friday, May 9, 2014, Elliott Reid of Western Bay, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents: Albert and Cecilia, brothers: Joshua and Leo, sisters: Alvina (James), Phoebe (Kenneth) and Annie (James), parents-in-law: Allan and Viola Baggs, brother-in-law: Michael and sister-in-law: Doris. Leaving to mourn, wife: Carol Ann; two daughters: Karen (William) Duke, St. John's and Stephanie (Carl) Hatch, Western Bay; one son: Scott (Kelly), Victoria; four grandchildren: Dustin, Landen, Karla (Chris) and Kelsey (Michael); great-grandson: Hayden; step-daughter: Judy Sheen, Woodstock, NB and her son, Jordan Hutton; four brothers: Albert (Marie), Stewart (Doreen) and Clarence (Roxanne Piercey), all of Heart's Delight and Wendell (Ethel), Western Bay; five sisters: Violet (Gordon) Halley and Hilda (Ray) Tucker, both of St. John's, Jerlina Redmond, Torbay, Jane (Harold) Childs, Heart's Delight and Audrey (Lindsay) Kelloway, Whiteway; brother-in-law: Donald Hiscock, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Western Bay North. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund.
