VATERS, Frederick W. - Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, May 22, 2014, Frederick W. Vaters of Victoria, age 93 years. Predeceased by wife: Mildred; parents: James and Mary; brothers: George, Albert, Reuben, Mark and infant brothers: Alex and Frederick; sisters: Sadie and Gladys. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Peggy (Walter) Whalen, Harbour Grace, Pansy (Neville) Penney and Bonnie (Samuel ) Dean, both of Carbonear; three sons: Wayne (Diane) Vaters, North York, ON, Lester Vaters, Victoria and Rex (Debbie) Vaters, Carbonear; eleven grandchildren: Sharon, Sharlene (Andrew), Michael (Stephanie). Christine (Jeremy), Daniel, Charmaine (Jimmy), Paul (Terri-Lynn), Chris (Sheila), Shawn (Rebecca), Chad (Tara) and Kyle (Julie); twelve great-grandchildren: Julia, Nicholas, Sarah, Katie, Riley, Lyla, Colton, Justin, Emily, Caitlin, Seth and Chloe; sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Clarence) Grant, Kitchener, ON and Ivy Burton, Pacquet; special homecare workers: Marchell and Renee; special nephew: Don (Frances) Vaters; special niece: Yvonne (Dave) Crook; as well as other nephews, nieces and relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours on Saturday, May 24, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, May 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in the Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
