JOHNSON, Thomas A. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, June 28, 2014, Thomas A. Johnson of Gull Island, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Bridget 'Bride', sisters: Mary Margaret (Ronald) Johnson and Frances (Andy) Hoskins, brother: Cyril. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ellie; four children: Debbie (Jim) Hopkins and Brian (Florence) and Donnie (Velma), all of Northern Bay and Jacqueline 'Jackie' (Clyde), Small Point; six grandchildren: Krystle (Shannon), Renee (John Ross), Kristen (Christopher), Stacy (Shawn), Kurt (Bethany) and April (Jason); three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Connor and Jaxon; brother: Will Joe (Esther), Goose Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay with visitation hours on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass to take place on Wednesday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church Fund, P.O. Box 79, Northern Bay, NL, A0A 3B0.
