MURRAY, Philip- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, May 17, 2008, Philip Murray of Carbonear, age 78 years. Predeceased by daughter: Shari Ann; parents: William and Sarah; brothers: Michael and Joseph. Leaving to mourn, wife: Dorothy M.; two daughters: Maria and Shanea, both of Carbonear; one son: Philip, Carbonear; three brothers: William (Mary) and Andrew (Mary), both of Carbonear and John (Ethel), Harbour Grace; three sisters: Carmel George and Catherine Crawford, both of Carbonear and Jane Granaman, Iowa, USA; seven sisters-in-law: Angela Murray, Rita (John) Gear and Brenda (Dominic) Curran, all of Carbonear, Denise (Maxwell) Harris, Fort MacMurray, AB, Gertie March, Mount Pearl, Loretta Brent and Ann (Maurice) McDonald, both of Botwood; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
