JOHNSON, Florence L. (Steele) - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Saturday, February 11, 2012, Florence L. Johnson (Steele) of Job's Cove, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband: Robert J., infant daughter: Carol Ann, parents: George and Eva Steele and brother: Russell. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Marie (Stan) Parsons, Bristol's Hope and Louise (Frank) Norris, Job's Cove; one son: David (Roxanne), Carbonear; seven grandchildren: Brant (Jennifer), Dean (Jen), Scott (Gillian), Todd (Amanda), April (Byron), Paula (Joshua) and Robert; great-grandson: Nathaniel; sister-in-law: Verna Steele, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Douglas (Florrie) Johnson, Job's Cove, Gordon Button, St. John's and Allan Pritchett, Gambo; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and then resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Northern Bay. No flowers by request, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove.
