CLARKE, Florence May - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, August 21, 2014, Florence May Clarke of Victoria, age 80 years. Predeceased by 1st husband: Thomas Russell; parents: John 'Jack' and Susan Emberley; sisters: Ida (Jack) Priddle and Elsie Edwards; brother: William 'Bill'. Leaving to mourn, husband: Leslie 'Les'; two daughters: Edna (Carl) Dove, Harbour Grace and Leslie Russell, Victoria; three sons: Clarence (Glenda) Emberley, Alberta, Melvin Russell and George (Pauline) Russell, both of Victoria; three grandchildren: Tara (Josh), Melissa and John; two great-grandchildren: Addison and Gavin; two brothers: Joseph 'Joe' (Carol) Emberley, Victoria and George (Ruby) Emberley, Cavendish; two sisters: Mary (Ambrose, deceased) Norris and Leona (Martin, deceased) North, both of Victoria; brother-in-law: Ralph Edwards, Little Rock, Arkansas, USA; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Florence May Clarke Memorial Fund.
