THOMAS, Lloyd R. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, July 12, 2008, Lloyd R. Thomas of Carbonear; formerly of Harbour Grace, age 87 years. Predeceased by 1st wife: Mildred, 2nd wife: Blanche; son: James and step-son: John; brothers-in-law: Albert Edwards, Frank Hollett, Ken Hollett and Clarence Janes; sister-in-law: Magretta Powers; Donald's partner: Geoffrey Edgell. Leaving to mourn, son: Donald, Harbour Grace; step-sons: Lloyd (Glenda) Pike, Harbour Grace and Howard 'Butch' (Faye) Pike, Nova Scotia; step-daughter-in-law: Betty Pike, Harbour Grace; brothers: Arthur (Joan) and Charles (Margaret), both of Carbonear; sister: Georgina Edwards, Harbour Grace; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Janes, Carbonear, Marie Hollett and May King, Charwood Manor, Carbonear, Muriel Hamlyn, Ontario; brother-in-law: Ches Power, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, July 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace. Interment in the United Cemetery, Blackhead. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace.
