BURDEN, George A.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, July 23, George A. Burden of Broad Cove, age 87 years. Predeceased by parents: Joseph and Laura; brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn, wife: Myrtle; one daughter: Laura (Harold) Slade, Salmon Cove; four sons: Nelson (Mary), Salmon Cove, Robert (Daisy), Innisfil, ON, Melvin (Elaine) and Bruce (Debbie), both of St. John's; step-son: Maxwell (Violet) White, Change Islands; twelve grandchildren: Ivan (Denice), Paul (Tina), Bradley (Kimberley), Paula (Ivan), Michelle (George), Lisa, Glenda, Robert (Diana), Colleen (Troy), Adam, Teri (John) and Zachary; two step-grandchildren: Shelly and Stephen; sixteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Leona Huggett, London, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, MAIN HIGHWAY, WESTERN BAY. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Ocean View United Church and Cemetery, Broad Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John's or to Ocean View United Cemetery, Broad Cove.
