HURLEY, John - Passed peacefully away at his residence in the presence of his family on Friday, July 25, 2008, John Hurley of Heart's Desire, age 69 years. Predeceased by daughter: Jacqueline Mary; parents: Sylvester and Maude; brother: Gerard. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary; daughter: Danielle (Ed) Johnson, Ottawa, ON; son: Peter, Heart's Desire; eleven brothers: Bruce (Pauline), Fort McMurray, AB, Frank (Susan), Heart's Desire, Brendan (Eileen) and Justin (Daisy), both of Badger, Tony (Michelle), Sudbury, ON, Paul, Australia, Neil (Marion), Badger, Terry (Diane), High River, AB, Joseph (Tracey), Ontario, Damian (Cathy), Fort McMurray, AB and Dennis, Victoria, BC; four sisters: Marion (Mike) Paul, Carbonear, Isabelle (George) Hayes, Fort McMurray, AB, Pauline (George) Levac, Victoria, BC and Theresa (Ray) Newman, Digby, NS; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at the Sacred Heart Mortuary Chapel, Heart's Desire with visitation hours on Sunday, July 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday, July 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral mass to take place on Monday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Heart's Desire. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place on Friday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Heart's Desire. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
