PARSONS, Clarence F. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, Clarence F. Parsons; formerly of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 75 years. Past Master of Masonic Lodge Carbonear #1043, Past Secretary of Men's Service Club and Past Chair of Board of Management, Freshwater United Church. Predeceased by parents: Andrew and Elizabeth; sister: Addy and brother-in-law: Robert Stewart. Leaving to mourn, wife: Myrtle (Snow); one daughter: Dawn (Chris) McGrath, St. John's; one son: David (Diane), St. John's; four grandchildren: Samantha, Evan, Emily and Mark; two brothers: S. Woodrow (Marjorie), Newmarket, ON and Clayton (Ethelwynne), Freshwater, Carbonear; one sister: Dorothy (Embry) Hudson, Adams Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Thursday, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date at the United Church Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear c/o Mrs. Mary Parsons, Site 2, Comp 16, RR #1, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C6.
