We were saddened by Aunt Marg's passing. She was the first person we spoke to on the phone in the morning and the last phone call at the end of the day. Her favourite topics of discussion were the weather and her boy...Dave. She knew all of us by name and where we were from. She was a wonderful person who we will greatly miss. She always brightened our day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dave and Jane, I was so sorry to hear of Margie's passing. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of Margie. She was such a warm and nurturing person, and spent so much time at our house, she felt very much like an aunt to me as well. As a five year old, I was secretly jealous that you got to live with her, but I could only visit! Margie was one of the important adults in my childhood, and a very considerable influence. I feel privileged that she was part of my early life. Margie will always have a special place in my memory.

A very sweet lady has gone to rest. I remember Margie from the little store at the bottom of Victoria Street. She always had a smile for you,and time for a chat. That was back in the early fifties, and later at Loders store, you would never leave without buying something. Please accept my condolences on her passing. Sincerely Effie Perry.

It was a great honor to have know Margie. She was a great friend, a friend that we will deeply miss. We feel blessed to know she's in God's care now.
She was so very proud of you, David and Jane. You had the privilege of knowing the love of this dear woman and the fruit of that love will live on in you.
Please extend out sincerest sympathy to your family & friends. We may not be there in person but know that our hearts will be there throughout all the ceremony.
Margie, farewell dear friend, and thank you that you chose us to be a part of your life here in Cape Breton. You were loved and we will miss you.
