Obituary of William Reid

REID, William R.- Passed peacefully away surrounded by his wife, loving and caring family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, January 18, 2009, William R. Reid of Paradise, formerly of Job's Cove, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Susie Maude Reid; brother: Gilbert. Leaving to mourn, wife: Sarah Naomi; two daughters: Connie (Doug) Penney, St. John's and Ann (Craig) Olford, Mount Pearl; two sons: Harold (Barb), Angus, ON and Wade (June), Paradise; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother: Dave (Rose) Reid, Lower Island Cove; one sister: Florence (Clarence) Buckler, Northern Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Job's Cove. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
