SLADE, Louisa- Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Seniors Citizens Home, Clarke's Beach on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, Louisa Slade of Salmon Cove in her 98 year. Predeceased by husband: Ezekiel 1987, son: Melvin and daughters: Muriel and Millicent. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Nina (Thomas) Crossman, Florida; one son: Gerald (Ruth) Slade, Bell Island; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Millicent Penney, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, January 24 at 2:30 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
