Obituary of Yvonne Brookings

BROOKINGS, Yvonne - Passed peacefully away at her residence on Friday, January 30, 2009, Yvonne Brookings of Old Perlican, age 65 years. Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Millicent Armstrong, brother: Graham Armstrong. Leaving to mourn, husband: Melvin; three daughters: Beverley (Norman) Wheadon, Western Bay, Bonnie (Rick) Hyde, Red Head Cove and Penny (Selby) Sellars, Western Bay; one son: Douglas Patton, California, USA; eleven grandchildren: Norman (Alisha) and Nicole Wheadon, Michelle (Derrick), Mark and Melanie Hyde, April (Kenny) and Cassandra Sellars, Cory, Melissa, Travis and Rebecca Patton; three great-grandchildren: Seanna, Tyson and Harmonee; step-sisters: Cathy Hopkins, Fermeuse and Rita (Pete) Noseworthy, South River; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay after 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 2. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay. Inurnment to follow at the United Cemetery, Old Perlican. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Yvonne Brookings Memorial Fund.
