SNOW, Charles W. - Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, May 9, 2009, Charles W. Snow of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: John B. and Barbara; infant brothers: Herman, Joseph and Mark; brothers: John W. and Lester; parents-in-law: Matthew and Mabel Dean. Leaving to mourn: wife: Lavinia; two daughters: Barbara (William) Dickson, Oshawa, ON and Frances (Ross) Ryder, Carbonear; two sons: Eric (Cheryl), Coley's Point and David (Barbara), Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer (Andrew), Michael (Natalie), Brian, Lauren, Erin, Janine (Hassan), John Ross, Cara (Jason), Mark (Tina), Alexander and Sarah; two great-grandchildren: Shelby and Abbagaele; sisters-in-law: Doris (Malcolm) Butt, Hazel Snow, Evelyn Taylor and Frances Piercey, all of Carbonear, Emily O'Brien, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA; brother-in-law: Edward (Jane) Dean, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear after 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
