PENNEY, Ernest 'Ed'- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, May 16, 2009, Ernest 'Ed' Penney of Carbonear, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Samuel & Angela Penney; wife: Emma Forward; brothers: Albert, Trenny and Leonard; sister-in-law: Judy Penney. Leaving to mourn, one son: Ernest (Josephine) Fullerton, Bras-dor, Nova Scotia; three grandchildren: Noelle, Ernie and Gordon (Trish); eight brothers: Mark, Carbonear, Val (Marg), Tom (Hilda), Robert (Joan), Pat (Brenda), Frank, Jason (Maggie), all of Victoria and Stanley, Adams Cove; six sisters: Rosalind (Jim) Goulette, New Brunswick, Elda (Robert) Noonan, Victoria, Georgina Bimm, Carbonear, Elsie (Wade) Abbott, Carbonear, Linda Penney, Carbonear and Ardena Reynolds, St. John's; sister-in-law: Shirley Penney, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or to Daffodil Place, St. John's.
