SLADE, James " Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, September 13, 2009, James Slade of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by wife: Edna; brothers: Ned, Jack and William; sisters: Hazel and Elsie. Leaving to mourn: one daughter: Janice Slade (Paul Snow), Carbonear; two sisters: Marjorie Penney, Salmon Cove and Ruth Mercer, Bay Roberts; sisters-in-law: Elva Slade, Carbonear and Geraldine Smith, Harbour Grace; brother-in-law: Clayton (Phyllis) Morgan, Stephenville; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
