CASE, Shirley F.- Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre, St. John's on Sunday, November 8, 2009, Shirley F. Case of Paradise, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Albert and Carrie Gibbons; baby daughter: Christine; step-mother: Alice Gibbons. Leaving to mourn, husband: Elwood; three sisters: Sandra (Clarence) Earle and family, Brampton, ON, Elvina (Wallace) Goodyear and family, Lumsden and Dale Gibbons, Clarenville; sisters-in-law: Naomi Case and Clarrie Case, both of Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. A Family Interment to be held on Tuesday, November 10 at Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John's, NL A1B 3V6. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, especially Dr. Kara Laing and Dr. McIssacc. Thank you also to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre.
