We spent our last ten summers in Salmon Cove, and we will greatly miss Wilma walking by our summer home, always with a smile and a small butter container. We knew when the wild strawberries, black english plum berries or the blueberries were ripe, because Wilma would pass by, wave, and return an hour later with her little container full. Such a lovely, gentle soul, we send our deepest condolences to the Parsons family.

TO WILMA'S FAMIL Thursday morning when we left home to spend Christmas in Ontario with our family, we had no idea your mother was in hospital. When we spoke to her a short time ago, she too was planning to spend Christmas with her family in Ontario. News of her passing was quite a shock. Noone knew your mom better than you did... Her death brings a great sense of sadness and loss to the whole community as she was so active in all aspects of community life. We hope that you will be comforted by the knowledge that her quiet, unassuming manner, her wisdom and her eagerness to contribute to church and community were appreciated by many and will be missed. Thinking of you today and praying that you will be comforted by your precious memories of her. God Bless Fred and Joy

I know Wilma is going to be missed, but it is times like this that brings all of the families together and the memories of Wilma will always be with us. Wilma is not really gone. I have many memories with all of the Hiscock family. When I think of the time I spent with Wilma they were all good days and also with Annie, Joyce, Jean, Ella, Leonard, , Ellis, Josh, and most of all grandmother & grandfather Hiscock. Today I would like to pass on my condolences to Wilma's children and their families. I know you have many great memories as well.

To Wilma's family: Hertha and I were quite shocked this morning with the news of your mom's death. I spoke to her on Wednesday afternoon as she was on her way to the hospital. I promised to drop by the next day after she got settled. As you know, that evening my dad suffered a stroke and we had to leave for Gander hospital on Thursday morning. At this point we still don't know what tomorrow will bring and I really need to stay here with him. Please accept our sympathies on your loss. We both enjoyed and appreciated your mom in the almost six years since we met. Her family meant the world to her, as I am sure you all know. Our prayer is that you will be embraced with the presence of a loving and comforting God as you make this journey. Accept the support of your family and friends, and know that many lives were touched by your mom. Our congregation will miss her tremendously. Blessings to you all. Rev. Wayne & Hertha Blackwood
