ASH, Raymond- Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, December 14, 2009, Raymond Ash of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Mabel; brother: Hayward Francis Ash. Leaving to mourn wife: Ethel; two daughters: Donna (Cameron) Manuel, Nova Scotia and Sharon (Paul) Brodie, Hamilton, ON; four grandchildren: Shannon, Brandon (Erin), Fallon (Cory) and Scott; one brother: Allison (Jackie) Ash, Arden, ON; sisters-in-law: Agnes Ash, Carbonear, Daisy (Harry) Hennessey, Harbour Grace; brother-in-law: Gordon (Barbara) Sheppard, Holland Landing, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace with visitation hours by request of the family on Thursday, December 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday, December 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, December 18 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Raymond's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace.
