GILLETT, Margaret R. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, Margaret R. Gillett of Carbonear, age 96 years. Predeceased by husband: Robert; granddaughter: Sandra; infant grandchild; sister: Mae and brothers: George and Herbert. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Shirley (Sam) Roberts, Picton, ON and Carol (Doug) Herder, Brampton, ON; two sons: Morley (Betty) and Robert, both of Brampton, ON; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: George Pilgrim, Carbonear; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, Dec. 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, December 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear.
