BURDEN, Edward D. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, Edward D. Burden of Carbonear, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents: Herbert and Elsie Burden; brothers: Ephriam, Lloyd and Reginald; sisters: Clarice and Hilda; grandson: Joshua Marsh. Leaving to mourn, wife: May; three daughters: Goldie (Neil) Marsh, Bay Roberts, Dawn (Brian) Johnson, Alberta and Sandi (Julie), Pouch Cove; three grandchildren: Rick (Jennine), Chad (Jennifer) and Julia; step-grandson: Tyler; two great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Nathaniel; two brothers: Jim (Rosemary) and Les (Helen), both of Carbonear; two sisters: Vera Purcell, Nova Scotia and Dot Hawe, Carbonear; sisters and brothers-in-law: Janie Peach, Massachusetts, USA, Rev Bill (Florence) Reynolds, Harbour Grace, Rev. Royden (Jeanette) Reynolds, Grand Falls-Windsor, Lillian Rose, Salmon Cove and Goldie Reynolds, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Friday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Edward Burden Memorial Fund.
