GILLINGHAM, Nellie J. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, Nellie J. Gillingham of Ochre Pit Cove, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband: Randolph M., 1992; brothers: Joseph Carnell and Benson Carnell; sisters: Bell Sommers and Lizzie Chowinski; sister-in-law: Marion Carnell; brothers-in-law: Chow Chowinski, Alexander Puddister and Sam Sommers. Leaving to mourn, one son: James, Kelligrews; three grandchildren: James Jr. (Bernice) and Tina (John), both of Kelligrews and Lisa, Halifax, NS; three great-grandchildren: Kyle, Kent and Hannah; two sisters: Rosalie Puddister, St. John's and Daphne (George) Penney, Blackhead; sister-in-law: Florence Carnell, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay Interment in the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Nellie's memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.
