SNOW, Lavinia M. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, February 22, 2010, Lavinia M. Snow of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband: Charles; parents: Matthew and Mabel Dean; parents-in-law: John B. and Barbara Snow. Leaving to mourn: two daughters: Barbara (William) Dickson, Oshawa, ON and Frances (Ross) Ryder, Carbonear; two sons: Eric (Cheryl), Quispamsis, NB and David (Barbara), Chelmsford, Mass, USA; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer (Andrew), Michael (Natalie), Brian, Lauren, Erin, Janine (Hassan), John Ross, Cara (Jason), Mark (Tina), Alexander and Sarah; two great-grandchildren: Shelby and Abbagaele; one brother: Edward (Jane) Dean, Carbonear; three sisters: Emily O'Brien, Plymouth, Mass, USA, Evelyn Taylor and Frances Piercey, both of Carbonear; sister-in-law: Hazel Snow, Campbell River, BC; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Lavinia's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
