Winnifred, Peggy, Gladys, Tom, and Families, We were very saddened upon hearing the news of your father's passing. As a lifetime neighbour we have many memories of him over the years, whether it was a glimpse of him at the window, sitting in his yard, or tending to his pastimes outside when the weather was suitable. A casual wave or a friendly hello, he was always a part of this neighbourhood for as long as I can remember and will certainly be missed every time we look through the window. Having lost Mom just a few short months ago, it's very sad to watch the many "icons" of Water Street being taken from us as they continue their journey to a better place. I know if Mom were still here today, she would certainly be upset at your dad's passing as well, as she somehow worried in more recent years if she didn't see a light or any sign of activity across the street at his home.
