Dear Aunt Pearl: Although we never met, you were my greatest inspiration and showed such love for me. I will not forget you. Without you there would be no GARLAND TREE, as your wonderful mind supplied more information than anyone could have known, and you shared it all with me. Your picture is first in the book written on the Garlands, and I will always be thankful. I know you are with mom now and all those that were part of your life. You were a strong woman with great accomplishments. I will miss all the letters, which I have had laminated, and you will always be part of Garland history. Rest now, as I know you were tired. Davis family. I have worked at Agnes Pratt for the past few years with Pearl. I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to your family, despite having not met you. Pearl was such a good person. I will miss spending time with her. Rest in peace Pearl, God bless you.
