Obituary of Phyllis Brewer

BREWER, Phyllis- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2010, Phyllis Brewer of Grate's Cove, age 83 years. Predeceased by husband: Arthur; daughter: Pearl Brewer; brothers: Malcolm Bailey and David Bailey; sisters: Violet Bailey, Frances Davis and Stella Bailey. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Amelia (Milton) Anthony, Grate's Cove, Evelyn (Leslie) Woodland, New Melbourne, Jeanette (Harry) Squires, Old Perlican, Linda (Rick) Walsh, Toronto, ON and Karen (Ross) Butt, Victoria; one son: David (Yvonne), Old Perlican; special foster-daughter: Shirley Hindy, Heart's Delight; twelve grandchildren: Rodney, Craig, Tina, Jonathan, Stephen, David, Heidi, Jeffery, Amy, Tyler, Gregory and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Andrew, Alexandra, Austin, Parker, Nathan and Drew; sister-in-law: Bessie Bailey, Harcourt; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Grate's Cove. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Luke's Anglican Church, Grate's Cove. Interment in St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Grate's Cove. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Visitation hours are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
