TUCKER, G. Nelson (Oct. 8, 1939 - Aug. 26, 2010) - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in the presence of his devoted wife, Nelson Tucker of Burnt Point, age 70 years. Predeceased by parents: Ethel and John Wes Tucker; sister: Joyce Bursey and two infant brothers. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories, his wife Marjorie (nee Sparkes); three sons: Carl (Margie), Old Perlican, Dean (Lorianne) and Blair (Lisa), both of Conception Bay South; treasured grandchildren: Ben, Sarah, Emily and Sheldon; two brothers: Clayton (Peg), Mount Pearl and Norman (Gloria), Job's Cove; one sister: Rosalyn (Andrew) Button, Ontario; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A family man, friend and lover of the outdoors, Nelson will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay with visitation by request of the family on Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 29 at 2:30 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment in Memorial United Cemetery, Burnt Point. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Memorial United Church Cemetery Fund, Burnt Point.
