Obituary of Joseph McCarthy

MCCARTHY, Joseph - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, October 10, 2010, Joseph McCarthy of , Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 82 years. Predeceased by parents: Felix and Alice; brothers: Charles and William; sisters: Agnes and Margaret; sister-in-law: Elizabeth McCarthy; brothers-in-law: James O'Neil, William Bowman and Gerald Russell. Leaving to mourn, three brothers: Justin and Edward (Ruth), both of Harbour Grace and James (Josephine), Toronto; one sister: Nellie Russell, Goose Bay; sister-in-law: Laura McCarthy, Glace Bay, NS; nieces and nephews; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace with visitation on Tuesday, October 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
