PENNEY, Eric - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Saturday, April 28, 2012, Eric Penney of Salmon Cove, age 78 years. Predeceased by infant grandson: Andrew; parents: Gilbert and Beatrice Penney; brothers: Edison and Clarence; sister: Viola. Leaving to mourn, wife: Evelyn; four daughters: Lorraine (Bert) King, Ruby (Dennis) Sutton, Pauline (Tony) Baldwin and Elaine (Brent) Kelloway, all of Salmon Cove; one son: Clyde (Kathy) Penney, Salmon Cove; twelve grandchildren: Kimberley (Chad), Leslie, Lisa (Jason), Melissa (Justin), Stacey (Colin), Dennis (Sascha), David (Heidi), Eric, Emily, Erica (Kenny), Amanda and Brendon; two great-grandsons: Caleb and Dawson; one sister: Elaine (Walter) Butt, Port Charlotte, Florida; special homecare worker: Lillian White, Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL.
