Obituary of Silas J. Snow

SNOW, Silas J.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General on Monday, January 16, 2006, Silas J. Snow of Carbonear, age 59 years. Predeceased by parents: John C. and Florence; brother: Joseph; sisters: Valetta and Beatrice. Leaving to mourn, wife: Myrtle; three daughters: Cathy Snow (Jeff Squibb), Carbonear, Dora (Graham) Snow and Rose Snow, both of Victoria; step-son: Todd (Stacey) Deering, Red Deer, AB; grandson: Matthew; four brothers: Roland (Elsie), Freshwater, Carbonear, Wilson (Flora) and Walter (Trudy), both of Victoria and Alex, Carbonear; three sisters: Lillian R. Hurley, Shearstown, Rhoda Snow and Lillian I. (Wayne) Penney, both of Freshwater, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Harry French, St. John's, Roy French, Toronto, ON, Gus (Heather) French and Gerald French, both of Bay Roberts and Paul Lynch, Bishop's Cove; sisters-in-law: Mina French and Jean (Gerald) Power, both of Toronto, ON, Grace Sommers, CBS and Darlene (Curtis) Francis, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 18. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Silas J. Snow Memorial Fund.
