OLIVER, William George 'Big Will'- Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Saturday, January 21, 2006, William George Oliver 'Big Will' of Gull Island, age 70 years. Predeceased by parents: Edward and Emma; brother: Augustine and sisters: Madeline, Bernadette and Margaret. Leaving to mourn four brothers: Edward (Pauline), Henry (Theresa) and Leo (Darlene), all of Gull Island and Jerome, St. John's; two sisters: Martha (Leo) Doyle and Winnie (Peter) Hogan, both of Gull Island; special great-nephews: Evan Whalen and Matthew Pottle; sister-in-law: Matilda Oliver, Gull Island; brothers-in-law: William Delaney, Gull Island and James Making, St. John's; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay and from where the funeral will take place on Monday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. Mass to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Northern Bay. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the William George Oliver Memorial Fund.
