CHAMPION, Annie M. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Saturday, May 24, 2003, Annie M. Champion of Lower Island Cove, age 95 years. Predeceased by husband: John C. 2001; son: John 1993; brother: John Stapleton; sisters: Elizabeth and Violet. Leaving to mourn daughter-in-law: Alliston, Carbonear; two grandchildren: Craig (Brenda), Coverdale, NB and Jacqueline Butt, Carbonear; four great-grandchildren: Melissa, Vanessa, Johnathon and Mary Alliston; one sister: Clara (Ralph) Reynolds, Caplin Cove; three nieces: Elizabeth, Doreen and Susie; four nephews: David, Gary, Wayne and Bob; and also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 9:30 p.m. Sunday, May 25. Then resting at Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Monday, May 26 and from where the funeral service will take place on Monday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove or to the Children's Wish Foundation.
