Bernard was my Great Uncle. We knew him as Uncle Bernie. His brother, Mike, was my grandfather. Please accept my condolences. His brothers who lived in Buchans in more recent years (Mike & Harry) told me about Bernie. He was a good man who did so much for his family. He is with his loved ones: "The old order has passed away: welcome him then into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever." "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him."

To members of the Collins Family our sincere condolences on the death of your father,Bernie. His passing will be deeply felt in the neighbourhood as yet another of its long time residents is taken from our midst. We always enjoyed our conversations with your father over the back fence. His sense of humor and wit never failed to leave us with a smile. Please know that you are all in our prayers and thoughts at this difficult time.
