To all of Great Uncle Plemans Family; I am the daughter of Bruce Martin, granddaughter of Hariett(White)Martin,(Pleman's sister)and from all I have heard from my father& mother about their visits with Uncle Pleman over the past few years, He was a delightful man with a great sence of humour. It's always sad to let our loved ones go, but what a celebration of a wonderfully long life. I trust that your hearts will be filled with all the good memories of special times that you all shared together with Great Uncle Pleman. May God's Love and Blessing be with you all as you say your final goodbye's here on earth, only to know that we will again be united together with our loved ones on the other side. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.

May I send you our deepest sympathy at this time and say that our thoughts have been with you since we heard of the death of your father. What great memories I have of the time I spent with Anita when I would be at my grandparents house. Then when I worked at the Harbor Lodge with your Father. I will always think of the White family with fondness.

To the Family Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. White. Apart from his barber shop, we remember Mr White from our Salvation Army Corps in Carbonear. He was truly a 'man of God' who loved and worshipped his Lord in both thought and deed. We will always remember the simple humility which could be heard in his voice as he often testified as to what his Lord and Master meant to him. He was a continual role model for us as we grew up and became, ourselves, a part of the Church Family. We pray that you find peace and comfort knowing that Mr. White has passed from this world to be with the Saviour he loved and served throughout his life. God Bless. Winnifred and Bram Pilgrim

I grew up in Carbonear and knew your Father/Grandfather very well. Of course, as with many others, he cut our hair . . . my Father, two brothers and myself . . . and I remember him as being soft spoken, gentle mannered and with a great sense of humor. He referred to anyone with the common head cold as "having a face and eyes cold". Please accept my condolences.

To the White family I send my love and condolences in the passing of the Patriarch of your family , a man who loved his Lord and who prayed daily for his family that they too would know the Lord he served. My wife and I were privileged and blessed to have had visits with my Uncle Pleman both in 2003 and 2005 while visiting Nfld and those times I will cherish in my heart. Uncle Pleman was the last in his immediate family of 12 (my mother was almost 97 when she passed on) and has left a void in my heart that that generation is now passed on. May the Lord of Uncle Pleman reach down and touch each member of his family during this time of grieving that you all may know the joy that Uncle Pleman has experienced over the years and now has come face to face with the One who saved him. Blessings To You All, Nephew Bruce & Evelyn Martin

Mr. White always had the same disposition, cheerful and a kind word for everyone he met. I still remember the many haircuts my brother Leslie and I had by Mr White; whether they were at his barbour shop on Water Street, or on the piano stool in our kitchen. Please accept my sympthony and condolences; you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in the Lord during this difficult time. Robert and Debbie Penney Ottawa, ON

Pop White, He brought joy to all that had the pleasure of knowing him. I remember numerous times as a kid and even in my early 20's meeting people who knew him, and hearing stories about how he would cut their hair as a kid, and how nice he was. I am sure that i will continue to meet such people with similar stories. I will never forget him, or his kindness. There are many ways to measure wealth, and should we use love as a measure of wealth, Pleman (Pop) White had all the riches in the world.
