SKINNER, Capt. Gordon R. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 8, 2011, Capt. Gordon R. Skinner of Harbour Grace, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: Wesley and Elizabeth; brother: Marvin. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 60 years: Ida; two daughters: Judy (Melvin), Carbonear and Shari (Jim) Bouzane, British Columbia; two sons: Donald (Maureen), Bristol's Hope and Keith (Marie), Harbour Grace; six grandchildren: Kelley (Bob), Gregory (Cindy), Deanna (Phonse), Dawne, Stephanie (Trevor) and Christa (Jonathan); seven great-grandchildren: Brock, Oliver, Irelande, Ellie, Ethan, Zander and Maxwell; one sister: Sadie Skinner, Marystown; sister-in-law: Sally Skinner, Scarborough, ON; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Interment in the United Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace.
