Condolences to the family . I used to see him almost every day over the past month or so. I would walk down the hall to get Mom a drink and he would be sitting in his chair out in the hall. I explained who I was - I don't know if he understood. But I always spoke to him. Max and my mother died on the same day and were buried on the same day. May his soul rest in peace .

Uncle Max will be forever remembered by many. He was a wonderful gentleman who was kind, sincere and loving. Ochre Pit Cove has lost another great son. Heaven has gained another special soul. Until we meet again...

To the family:
Audrey and I are deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Max`s passing. It was just a few months ago that we visited him and Aunt Belle in the Home in Carbonear. They both enjoyed a good chat and a laugh. It is indeed fitting that, since they were so close in life that they should pass so closely together. May they both rest in peace. Our thoughts are with you all at this time of bereavement. Please accept our most sincere condolences.

To The Family Of The Late Max Gillingham. I am Thinking Of You All Today. I Have Lost A Great Friend And Buddy. He And Belle Went Down To Church With Me On A Regular Basis. He Was A Faithful Member Of The Mens Fellowship Group And Never Missed A Meeting Until Sickness Took Him Away. Rest In Peace Max. You Are With Belle Forever.
