Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, C. Maxwell Gillingham of Ochre Pit Cove, age 90 years. Predeceased by wife: Clara Belle, son: David; parents: Luke and Gwendoline; brother: Nelson. Leaving to mourn, four grandchildren: Alex (Tara), Ashley, Kelsey and Jonathon; three great-grandchildren: Tyson, Lillian and Cameron; sisters-in-law: Dorothy 'Dot' Gillingham and Evelyn Crummey; special niece: Beverley Butt; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Ochre Pit Cove United Cemetery c/o David Hollett, RR1, Site 6, Box 22, Adam’s Cove, NL, A1Y 1C6.
