Obituary of Philip R. Curran
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, April 22, 2018, Philip R. Curran of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Agnes; infant son: Jeffrey; brother: Maurice; sister: Julia O'Grady; parents-in-law: George and Minie Rose. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elvie; five daughters: Christine Curran (Terry), Brenda Curran, Debbie (George) Baldwin, all of Ontario, Diane (Jim) Evely, Victoria, Linda Baldwin (Robert), Harbour Grace; two sons: Donald (Helen), Carbonear and Philip (Jean), Bay Roberts; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers: William (Mary), Dominic (Brenda), David (Cathy Ann), and Joseph; five sisters: Anastasia Furey, Elizabeth Cherry, Agnes (Wayne) Bishop, Catherine (Jim) Mercer, and Lucy Griffin; sister-in-law: Annie Curran; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, P.O. Box 429, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B8.
