My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad/Grandfather. I have lots of memories of time spent with Uncle Jim when he used to stay with us while on the road. Sometimes I would get a ride out to Harbour Grace with him when he was going home and we would be so silly on the drive out. I remember once when we stopped in Bay L'Argent for lunch and the sugar packs on the table had scenery pictures on them so we picked through them all and stole one of each different picture. We were like two kids sneaking candy. We laughed so much. That is something I never forgot and think of often. A memory I will cherish. I always looked forward to the times he was coming to stay for a few days. He was such a sweet quiet man with a heart full of love. Keep your memories close and I hope they help you through this difficult time. Sending loving hugs to you all.

My condolences to the Meaney family, on Jim's passing.
Although I have known his family a life time, it is only over the past couple of years that I began to appreciate what a mild mannered gentleman he really was. It was a treat to sit with him and my mother, lunch times, and chat. He was always welcomed at our house, and he will certainly be missed by all in our home.

So sad to hear of Jim's (Mr. Meaney) passing. Our heart go out to all the family. I remember as a kid when he would come to our house playing cards and he would grab me by the knee just so I would jump. His wife Sandra didn't play cards so we would play games when ever she came with him. Such a lovely man, RIP Jim (Mr. Meaney).
