Obituary of Capt. Charles Dowden

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 17, 2021, Capt. Charles Dowden of Carbonear, age 85 years.
Predeceased by parents: Stephen and Frances; brother: Eli (Wilma); nephew: Stephen 'Steve'.
Leaving to mourn, wife: Annie; three daughters: Frances (Glenn) Moores, Susan, and Roxanne (Kevin); five sons: Charlie, Terry, David, Rod (Sheila), and Stephen; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Jim (Lina); also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation on Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear.
Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 21 from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear, by invitation only. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, St. John’s at cancercarefoundation.ca.
